Greenhouse Effect

http://www.clean-air-kids.org.uk/globalwarming.html

Do you know what greenhouse effect is? It is the rise in temperature that the Earth experiences because of certain gases in the atmosphere. Some examples for the gases are carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and water vapour. These gases trap energy from the sun. If there are no such gases, the heat would escape back into the space and the Earth will get much colder.

So, greenhouse effect actually keeps the Earth’s climate warm and habitable. Without greenhouse effect, the Earth would not be warm enough for us to live. However, if the effect becomes stronger, it could make our mother Earth become warmer than usual, like getting fever.

Below is an animation link for you to get a clearer idea about greenhouse effect. There is a quiz game too! Check this out~
